About the product: “Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. My relationship with the product: I am not a big fan of the BB cream craze (I think it’s glamorized tinted moisturizer) but i got a sample in this month’s Cosmo so i tried it. I even swatched it.

Pros: None

Cons: 

• The smell! It is straight perfume. It really irritated my dry and sensitive skin. 
• Terrible color selection. The lightest is very orange. 
• Didn’t hydrate my skin at all. It felt like it was just foundation applied over dry, unmoizturized, unprimed skin.

My relationship with the product: I got this shortly after it came out (which was in like July or some time around then) and what drew me towards it, i have to say, was the advertising. The packaging looked so sleek and modern and the whole ‘translucent base with pigments’ really intrigued me. 

What i look for in a foundation: 

• Wide array of shades 
• Fuller coverage
• Blendable/buildable
• Long wearing

Pros:

e.l.f Studio Lip Primer & Plumper

Pros: None

Cons:

• The smell
  The plumping side has an intense cinnamon scent (because i think cinnamon is what’s supposed to plump your lips)
• It burns
  If you apply too much of the plumping side, it feels like your lips are on fire. (Like how your tongue feels when you eat red hots but worse)
• It just doesn’twork
  The plumping side doesn’t do anymore than regular chapstick does (except burn your lips) and the primer sets into the lines on your lips and it never dries so when you apply lipcolor, it just mixes with it.

Would i recommend this? Absolutely not

My relationship with the product: After seeing so many wonderful demonstrations of this foundation, i knew i had to try it but i was weary; it’s pricey and i was afraid to buy a foundation online. Christmas rolled around and Sephora was featuring a box kit with this foundation, it’s primer and the finishing powder; all for $70, so i snapped at the chance. 

What i look for in a foundation:

• Wide array of shades 
• Fuller coverage
• Blendable/buildable
• Long wearing

Pros:

• Packaging/design
• Wide array of shades 
• Fuller coverage 
• Quantity 
• Long wearing
• Powdery finish
• Photographs great

Cons:

• Dries too fast  
• Impossible to blend
• Causes my skin to be dry or flakey 
• Expensive
